(HAMILTON) - A free workshop on the design and function of septic systems will be held next Thursday night, August 21st, at the Hamilton Fish and Game Club. The 90 minute workshop will start at 6:30pm. Kris Thomas and Walter Buchs from the Steuben County Health Department will be the featured speakers.
Sharon Partridge from the Allen County Soil and Water Conservation District says those who attend will learn how septic systems work, the limitations of soils to process waste and how to maintain septic systems.
The workshop is sponsored by the St. Joseph River Watershed Initiative, the Steuben County Health Department and the Steuben County Soil and Water Conservation District thanks to a grant awarded by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
