(ASHLEY) - Two persons including an Angola man were injured Thursday evening in a crash on the DeKalb-Steuben County line near Ashley. The DeKalb County Sheriffs Department says a 2004 Toyota Sienna driven by 72-year-old Beverly Gloyd of Fort Wayne failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of County Roads 39 and 00 at about 6:45pm and was struck on the passenger side by a 1994 Dodge Ram Van driven by 62-year-old Ronald Everett of Angola.
Everett's vehicle then struck a nearby parked pickup truck. Gloyd's vehicle struck the corner of a house and rolled onto its top. Both drivers were taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center. Police believe they were both wearing their seat belts.
Gloyd was cited for failing to stop at a posted stop sign. Both the Gloyd and Everett vehicles were considered a total loss. Assisting at the scene were the Steuben County Sheriff's Department, Ashley Police, Ashley firefighters, Indiana State Police and DeKalb County E.M.S..
