The Hamilton Community Schools Board of Education met in regular session Monday night. Among things considered, it was decided that teachers will be awarded performance grants due to improvement on standardized testing and our graduation rates. The stipend will be issued prior to the February 1st deadline set by the Indiana Department of Education.
Officers for the new year for the board include Mr. Mark Gould, President; Mr. Robert Gaff, Vice President; and Mr. Lee Stoy, Secretary.
In other board action Mr. Benjamin D. Ice of Barrett-McNagny in Fort Wayne was appointed as legal counsel. Mrs. Robin Byler was appointed as corporation Treasurer and Mrs. Cheri Dove was appointed as Deputy Treasurer.
In other news, Hamilton Community Schools is an emergency shelter facility for Steuben County Red Cross.
