Forest River • LaGrange, IN

By: Sheila McCrea

Leading RV manufacturing Forest River announced a major expansion that will invest $6.7 million in LaGrange County.

Indiana Representative Denny Zent gave his congradualatory remarks to Ryan Kroch and his economic development team on the major expansion of this manufacturing giant in LaGrange County. Znet thinks the LaGrange location is an ideal spot for the transportation of manufactured goods, especially for an RV company. Zent says "Indiana is ranked as a top state in the Midwest for business with reduced taxes and cost of living". Zent encourages employers to continue to expand and relocate to Indiana.

With a recent purchase, Forest River will now cover 450,000 square feet of floor space on 100 acres of land in LaGrange. As a result, the company has plans to hire an additional 425 employees.

LaGrange County officials are calling the expansion plans “one of the the largest economic growth spurts the town has seen in at least 20 years.”

Forest River’s manufacturing growth comes as a demand consumers that want to purchase for RVs grows. The company employs 11,000 people corporate wide.
