(ANGOLA) - With a new school year starting, M.S.D. of Steuben County Superintendent Doctor Brent Wilson told the districts Board of Trustees on Tuesday that it's projected the district will have 38 less students than last year. He added if the same funding formula was used, the district was looking at a loss of $75,000. Wilson feels the new state money for education is not making its way to Angola.
He also reported the Active Shooter training that was conducted by the Indiana State Police in district buildings on Monday and Tuesday was well worth it. Wilson called it an eye opener and it was something that school officials have to be ready for.
