Tuesday's Storms Knock Down Limbs And Power Lines
Wednesday Aug 20, 2014 11:02am

By: Mike Stiles

(UNDATED) – Tuesday afternoon's severe line of thunderstorms that moved through the area knocked down some limbs and knocked out power as well.

The storms that moved through southern Michigan and Northern Indiana brought heavy rain in some locations and strong winds between 50 and 60 MPH.

Power lines were reported down in southern Branch County. In LaGrange County, trees were knocked down northwest of Plato and a tree was snapped in Wolcottville.

Consumer's Energy is reporting less than 100 of their customers in northern and eastern Branch County are still without power this morning. Midwest Energy Cooperative also says they have 65 customers without power around Constantine, Marcellus and Cassopolis.

At one point, over 1100 NIPSCO customers were without power for several hours, but everyone is now back online.
