Memorial ride for medics begins Friday in LaGrange

LAGRANGE – A bicycle ride to honor emergency medics who died in the line of duty will start at the Parkview EMS Building in LaGrange Friday morning.

Riders will depart on a 200 mile trek that ends at the Indiana Police and Fire Memorial in Indianapolis.

Among those being honored this year are LaGrange EMS medics Garry Hammer, Floyd Miller, Bryan Allred, and Lora Halsey. A brief memorial service for them will be held at 8 a-m at the EMS building on Townline Road.

Among those participating are emergency medics, friends and family members of honorees, and others riding in support of EMS.
