WOLCOTTVILLE – One of the final festivals of summer will time warp you back to pioneer days.
The David Rogers Country Fair Living History Festival is Saturday from noon to 6 at David Rogers Memorial Park northwest of Wolcottville.
Fair-goers can see demonstrations of blacksmithing, weaving, dress-making and bowl carving. Entertainment includes a magic act, puppet show, Civil War recruiter and plenty of music from the period.
Friends of LaGrange County Parks host a country baked auction at 2 p-m. There's a pie-eating contest at 5 and folk dance with live music and caller from 6 to 8 p-m.
The log cabins of Rogers Pioneer Village serve as the backdrop for all of this. Admission is $2 per person and up to $10 for groups.
