Se-Kure Dome Helping People See For Years

(STURGIS) – A Sturgis business has been helping their customers see for many years, and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight.

Se-Kure Domes And Mirrors manufactures mirrors of all shapes and sizes for many different businesses. Before creating Se-Kure Domes, owner Roger Leyden used to sell mirrors and his supplier was Ram Products, located in Sturgis.

As his business ventures grew and diversified, Leyden continued to sell mirrors through his companies. But when Ram Products ran into financial difficulties in the late 1990's, Leyden did something about that.

Se-Kure Domes Facilities Manager Scott Davidson says Leyden purchased some of the equipment and products and then started Se-Kure Dome to carry on with the work Ram Products had been doing.

The company has grown and now manufactures over 300 products.

Leyden's other businesses are located in Illinois. Davidson says Se-Kure Domes and its sister companies benefit from each other, and even create sub components for the other company.

Davidson says diversity in their product lines and the commitment of their employees are the two key factors to the success of Se-Kure Domes. He says the company is looking at purchasing some equipment in the near future that will allow them to be even more of a leader in their industry.
