Three more local projects made presentations to the Northeast Indiana Regional Development Authority Board during a meeting in Rome City yesterday.
The new presentations came from Strawberry Valley Cultural Trail in Ligonier, Fishing Line Trail in Noble County, and the Kendallville Outdoor Recreation Center.
The City of Ligonier sponsored the Strawberry Valley Trail request of $254-thousand dollars from Regional Cities funds. The project total is $1.2 million.
Noble Trails Inc. is seeking $175-thousand towards a project total of just over $1-million.
Kendallville Parks and Recreation requested $400-thousand towards a $2.3 million dollar expansion of the Outdoor Recreation Center.
The R-D-A Board approved requests of $6.9 million for The Landing project in downtown Fort Wayne and $1 million for the Clyde Theater Renovation in Fort Wayne. Those now go to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation for review and approval.
The board temporarily suspended the review of any new projects because requests have exceeded the $42-million dollars in Regional Cities money it has to disperse.
