(CENTREVILLE) – Christopher Bolt has resigned as the Engineer/Manager of the St. Joseph County Road Commission.
The resignation followed a two hour closed session of the Road Commission Board of Director's on Wednesday to discuss personnel considerations. When the meeting came back into open session, Bolt gave his resignation and a two weeks notice.
The Road Commission Board unanimously accepted Bolt's resignation and placed him on two weeks paid administrative leave. Bolt had been with the Road Commission for two years.
Chairman John Bippus says the Board unanimously appointed Road Commission Engineering Director Chris Minger to serve as the interim Manager.
Bippus says they will post the position and accept resumes. The Board will start interviews with perspective candidates this fall and hope to name a new Road Commission Manager by January 1, 2015.
