(BRYAN) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced that their Saturday night O.V.I. checkpoint will be held from 9:00pm until 1:00am on U.S. 127 in Williams County. The Highway Patrol will be getting assistance from Bryan Police, the Williams County Sheriff's Office and the Ohio Investigative Unit.
The checkpoint will be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols as Troopers say they will aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.
The O.V.I. checkpoints are funded through federal grants in an attempt to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
Troopers are urging you to get a designated driver or make other travel arrangements if you plan to consume alcohol.
