Three people were injured in a two vehicle crash Saturday in Coldwater Township.
Michigan State Police from the Coldwater Detachment say 21 year old Megan Bretschneider was driving east on Chicago Road near Lott Road at 8:30 PM when she went into the westbound lane. 38 year old Christopher Smith was driving west and was not able to avoid the head on crash.
Smith was taken to the Community Health Center of Branch County for treatment. His passenger, 35 year old Jamie Smith was pinned in the vehicle. She was removed by the Coldwater Fire Department and flown by Samaritan Air Ambulance to Samaritan Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Bretschneider was flown from the scene by West Michigan Air Care to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. Her condition along with the Smith's is not being released by hospital personnel.
Also assisting at the scene were the Coldwater Police Department and Life Care Ambulance.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
