Nine fire departments from two states battled a blaze Sunday night at a Mottville business.
The White Pigeon Fire Department says they were called at 6:30 PM to a structure fire in the 68,00 block of Union Street. St. Joseph County Central Dispatch confirms that is the site of Fiberglass Composites.
According to the Department's Facebook page, when they arrived the structure was 75 percent involved with flames. The Constantine, Tri-Township, Three Rivers, Fabius-Park, Porter and Newburg Fire Departments from St. Joseph County along with the Bristol and Middlebury Fire Departments from Indiana were called in to provide assistance in battling the blaze.
Crews fought the fire for nearly four hours before it was put out. The building is considered a total loss. No damage estimates were provided, and no injuries occurred.
The Michigan State Police Fire Marshal is expected to come down Wednesday to examine the ruins and see if they can determine a cause for the fire.
