Suspicious Person Report Leads to 5 Arrest on Drug Charges

A report of a suspicious person led authorities to a drug investigation and the arrest of five people.

The LaGrange Police Department responded to a suspicious person report in the 300 N Block of Poplar Street in LaGrange at around 2 p.m. Sunday. Upon further investigation officers were lead back to an address in the 200 N Block of Poplar Street.

While at the residence, the investigation turned into a drug investigation after one of the subjects tried concealing suspected marijuana. A search was executed after a search warrant was obtained.

Investigative reports indicate that during the search, officers located multiple bags containing a crystal shard like substances (Methamphetamine) along with marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

olice got a search warrant and searched the home. Inside, they found multiple bags with crystal meth and marijuana in them, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested Dwight Mulling, Jennifer Johnson, Travis Packer, Carrie Miller, and Donald Buel Jr. for possession of methamphetamine and other drug-related offenses.

Packer and Miller both also had warrants out for their arrest in Elkhart County.

Assisting with this investigation was the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

The individuals and charges were as follows:

Dwight Mulling of LaGrange was booked into the LaGrange County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Jennifer Johnson of LaGrange was booked into the LaGrange County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Travis Packer of LaGrange was booked into the LaGrange County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, and an arrest warrant out of Elkhart County.

Carrie Miller of LaGrange was booked into the LaGrange County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, and an arrest warrant out of Elkhart County.

Donald Buel Jr of Michigan was booked into the LaGrange County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
