Indiana AG Investigation
Tuesday Jul 03, 2018 10:40am

INDIANAPOLIS – Four women, including one legislator, are accusing Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill of touching them inappropriately.

The alleged incidents occurred at a party on the final night of the legislative session this spring.

The Indianapolis Star reports the other three women with legislative staffers, and included both Republicans and Democrats.

Their allegations launched an investigation by legislative leadership.

The lawmaker claims Hill was intoxicated and twice grabbed her buttocks.

Hill sent an emailed statement to the paper denying any inappropriate behavior.

The former Elkhart County prosecutor went on to say he doesn’t know who made the accusations and has been denied due process.

Indiana Democratic Party Chairman John Zody issued a statement saying, “We believe the multiple allegations against the Attorney General are serious, and raise material doubts over whether he can effectively carry out the duties of his office. Attorney General Hill should spare Hoosiers from this controversy and resign from office.”

Republican Party Chairman Kyle Hupfer issued a statement saying, “It’s important to be clear: As the Republican Party, we have zero tolerance for sexual harassment, and that’s the standard to which we all should adhere. Actions like these alleged have no place in public life or anywhere else."
