The Steuben County Community Foundation elected three new community members to its Board of Directors effective July 1, 2018. Pam Harger, Brenda Shipe, and Jonathan Walmer will each begin serving their three-year terms on the board as well as various Community Foundation committees.
Pam Harger has been a volunteer with SCCF for 18 years, serving as a leader of FIST, the Community Foundation’s youth philanthropy group, as well as volunteering on the grants committee. Pam will represent the community of Hamilton, and she brings expertise in the area of youth development from her career of over 25 years working for schools in guidance.

Brenda Shipe is a Steuben County native, who became involved in the Community Foundation when she received the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship in 1999 when it was offered to a non-traditional student. Brenda is the co-owner of an accounting firm and will be a strong financial and local community expert on the board.

Jonathan Walmer will also bring his financial background to the board of directors. He relocated to Steuben County after attending Tri-State (Trine University) and now works at Wells Fargo as a Senior Credit Analyst. Jonathan has served on the SCCF Scholarship Committee since 2012.

The SCCF Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing its $28 million in assets, as well as developing a strategic plan for community impact.
