(EMMA) – Former Westview Superintendent Dr. Randy Miller has written a letter of apology following his arrest for allegedly driving drunk.
In the letter, which was shared on the Westview School’s Facebook page, Miller apologized for his actions. He says they were inexcusable, and he failed in his judgment and betrayed the trust the community and the school placed in him. Miller says he knows the expectations of the community because they are the same ones that raised him. He says he violated those expectations and in doing so, brought shame not only upon himself but also upon the community he loves.
In the letter, Miller also thanks the community and the schools for holding him accountable. He also thanks them for their patience and most of all he says he thanks them for the grace that he does not deserve but is extremely grateful for.
Miller was arrested August 31 on three charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of .15 or higher.
Former Westview Superintendent Dr. Randy Zimmerly has been brought in to serve as interim Superintendent while the search for Miller’s replacement is underway.
