(ALGANSEE TOWNSHIP) - A Pansophia Academy school bus was involved in an accident in Algansee Township, Branch County, on Wednesday morning at approximately 7:00 a.m.. The bus was traveling eastbound on Central Road near Bennett Road when the driver attempted to give way to oncoming traffic, causing the bus to leave the roadway, enter a ditch, and collide with a guardrail.
The bus was carrying four students in addition to the driver. The Branch County Sheriff's Office reported that all five were evaluated and treated on the scene by Lifecare Ambulance and the Quincy Fire Department, and no serious injuries were reported.
The Branch County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Quincy Police Department, Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Division, Branch County Road Commission, Lifecare Ambulance, and the Quincy Fire Department. The accident is currently under investigation.
