In IHSAA Girl's Basketball action Thursday, the Eastside Blazers came out with the win over the Fremont Lady Eagles with a final score of 36-32.
While both teams struggled to put up big numbers attributed in large part by tough defense on both sides, Sullivan Kessler managed to put up a big night with 19 points for Eastside. Mackensie Rieke aided the effort with 8 points, and Ally King had 5 points.
For Fremont, Jada Rhonehouse had another strong night with 8 points and 9 rebounds, while Samantha Kuhn had 7 points, along with Macayla Guthrie and Eva Foulk both chipped in with 5 points.
Eastside returns home on Tuesday to take on Leo at 7:30 P.M., while Fremont goes on the road Saturday to take on Adams Central at 7:30 P.M., and then again on Tuesday to Fort Wayne to take on Blackhawk Christian also with a 7:30 P.M. tip time.
