Berger Stepping Down As AHS Girls Hoops Coach

(ANGOLA) - John Berger's resignation as Angola High School girls basketball coach is expected to come before the M.S.D. of Steuben County School Board of Trustess on Tuesday night. Angola High School Athletic Director Mark Ridenour confirmed on Friday that Berger submitted his resignation in writing earlier this week. Berger has been the girls basketball coach at Angola for the past four seasons compiling a record of 67-22 which included a 21-2 record in 2011-2012. The Lady Hornets captured three straight Northeast Corner Conference tournament championships between 2011 and 2013. They won regular season titles in 2012 and 2013 as they went unbeaten in conference play in both of those seasons.
