SANDUSKY, Ohio - One of the region's most popular summer destinations says it will gear up big for the upcoming season -- hiring some 6,500 workers.

Cedar Point plans to host a virtual "National Hiring Day" event on Saturday, March 13.

Positions will include all park operating areas, from rides to merchandise sales to food and beverage.

The company recently announced plans for a 2021 season that will look more like its traditional operations -- though safety measures and social distancing will remain in effect.
