SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP – One of the three siblings who was struck by an SUV while riding their bikes has died from his injuries.

According to WWMT and Facebook, 14 year old Landen Risner died Sunday just before 6 AM. His family posted Landen's passing on the Risner Support Group Facebook page.

Landen's family also requested that no one contact them at this time. Michigan State Police say at 3:45 PM on April 5, a silver Chevy Equinox was driving south on Ralston Road when it went off the road and struck Landen and his two siblings. 7 year old Roman Risner was taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital with a broken leg. 14 year old Elizabeth Risner had minor injuries.

Thanks to a citizen's tip, MSP say they located the suspect vehicle the next day at a residence on Hackman Road near M-66 in St. Joseph County's Burr Oak Township. It has been impounded for further investigation.

The driver has been identified as a 42 year old Sturgis man, and is currently cooperating with the investigation.
