Goshen Receiving Recycling Grant
By: Mike Stiles - Friday, April 23, 2021

INDIANAPOLIS – The City of Goshen is receiving money from the State as
part of the Community Recycling Grant Program.

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management announced the recipients of the grant, saying that over $444,000 is being given out to 21 applicants.

The City of Goshen will get $9,867 from the program. IDEM Commissioner Bruno Pigott says the Community Recycling Grants are a great way for IDEM to promote and encourage recycling at the local level. The grants are available to counties, municipalities, solid waste management districts, schools and non profit organizations located in Indiana.

The grant funding is intended to create successful, cost effective programs. Applicants must demonstrate a positive environmental impact within the project service area, an increase in waste diversion as a result of the project, and show the sustainability of the project.

Grants are funded through IDEM's Solid Waste Management Fund. For additional information, please contact 800-988-7901.
