Hamilton Students And Staff First to Tackle Day of Caring Projects
By: Sheila McCrea - Thursday, April 29, 2021

HAMILTON — Hamilton Jr.-Sr. High School students and staff will be helping kick off the Steuben County United Way’s month-long Days of Caring.

The annual event officially begins in May, but Hamilton students and staff will be the “early bird” volunteers for this year’s campaign. They will be out in the community on Friday to help out with several projects in and around the Hamilton area.

Instead of a one-day or multiple-day mass work days, this year’s Days of Caring will be held all month long in May due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

For more information about Days of Caring, whether it’s to seek help, volunteer help or make a sponsorship donation, contact Steuben County United Way at 260-665-6196.

Projects can include minor home repair, yard clean up, painting, window cleaning, or any variety of similar projects. Volunteers can include families or businesses or civic organizations, or even adult supervised school groups.
