Northeast Indiana Counties Saw Unemployment Rates Decline Significantly in September

INDIANAPOLIS — Northeast Indiana unemployment rates saw significant declines in September.

DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble and Steuben counties all had more people working and fewer unemployed workers between August and September.

LaGrange had the lowest unemployment rate in the state last month at 2%, down from 2.4% in August.

Steuben County had an unemployment rate of 2.4% in September, dropping from 2.9% in August.

DeKalb County, 2.8% unemployment in September, down from 3.1% in August.

Noble County, 3.2% unemployment in September, down from 3.8% in August.

All counties in this corner of the state had an unemployment rate for September below 5%, as did most of the state.
