The City of Angola Water Dept. will perform routine, semi-annual flushing and maintenance of fire hydrants this month.

The flushing will take place Monday May 9 through Friday May 20 from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The northeast section which is north of E. Maumee St. and East of N. Wayne St. will be Monday May 9, Tuesday May 10, Wednesday May 11.

The southeast section which is east of S. Wayne St. and South of E. Maumee St. will be on Wednesday May 11, Thursday May 12, Friday May 13.

The northwest section which is north of W. Maumee St. and West of N. Wayne St. will take place Monday May 16, Tuesday May 17, Wednesday May 18.

And the southwest section, located west of S. Wayne St. and South of W. Maumee St. occurs Wednesday May 18, Thursday May 19, Friday May 20.

Refrain from doing laundry during the times that hydrants are flushed in your area due to the possible discoloration of water from iron and manganese sediments.

Good maintenance programs are essential in preserving water quality. If the piping network is not maintained properly, it can cause water quality to deteriorate.
