ANGOLA, IN - An iconic Steuben County businessman and community leader has been honored by leaders with the city of Angola.

Angola Mayor Richard Hickman along with members of the Angola Common Council honored Charles “Chuck” Sheets during this week’s Common Council meeting.

Among his many contributions to the community, Sheets is a founding board member of the Steuben County Community Foundation, instrumental in helping start the YMCA of Steuben County, and his kind generosity.

As one of the areas key business leaders and developers, it’s no surprise that one of the counties latest project is under his name; the development of the Sheets Family Park at the YMCA.

In 2016, Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb awarded Sheets The Sagamore of the Wabash, the highest civilian honor in Indiana.
