(TEKONSHA TOWNSHIP) – The Michigan State Police are investigating the attempted theft of a catalytic converter that happened in April.
Troopers say several subjects were seen attempting to remove the catalytic converter from a Dodge Durango as it was parked on P Drive South, in Calhoun County's Tekonsha Township. The suspects could not be described or identified but the vehicle was seen leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.
As the vehicle sped through a stop sign, a witness took a picture of the automobile. It is believed to be a 2002 or 2003 Pontiac Bonneville, maroon in color. There may have been up to 3 suspects that were with this vehicle.
If anyone has information on this incident, they are asked to call the Michigan State Police Post in Marshall at 269-558-0500.
