Oursler joins Trine as director of development

Trine University has added an experienced fundraiser with 17 years of higher education experience to its Office of University Advancement.

Steve Oursler has joined Trine as director of development, after most recently serving in a similar position at Midland University in Nebraska.
Oursler also has served in fundraising roles at several private colleges in Michigan, including work as senior director of philanthropy and planned giving at Albion College in Albion, Michigan, associate director of development at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Hope College in Holland, Michigan. He has been an integral part of three comprehensive campaigns, assisting donors in making the biggest impact with their philanthropy.

Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in planned giving and major giving as well as familiarity with higher education in the region, according to Kent Stucky, J.D., vice president for university advancement.
Oursler holds Certified Fundraising Management (CFRM) designation from Indiana University and is a Certified Estate Planner (CEP).

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Hope College with a concentration in interpersonal communications.
