Wednesday Morning Northbound I-69 Accident Stops Up Traffic

BRANCH COUNTY, MI– A broken down semi was struck by another semi early Wednesday morning on northbound I-69 in Branch County.

According to the Michigan State Police, the hauler which was broke down on the roadway was hauling dog food. After being hit by another semi, the impact caused the unit to open up. As a result, dog food was strung all over the interstate.

The right lane and right shoulder of northbound I-69 at the 21 mile marker was closed to traffic following the crash.

The crash, which took place a 6 AM Wednesday morning, reportedly affected drivers until the early afternoon. The interstate remained open, but drivers had to merge into the left land and use caution in the area.

No injuries were reported.
