January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and many state legislative leaders have declared Thursday as Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

Reports indicate that travelers, and those who commute on the roadways for their daily occupation, such as semi truck drivers play a huge role in helping to fight against human trafficking.

In the last five years, the National Human Trafficking Hotline reports that over 41% of the cases truckers have reported to them involve victims that are minors.
