Drugs And Fake Money Found After Indiana Toll Toad Stop In LaGrange County

LAGRANGE COUNTY, IN – Indiana State Police arrested three women on drug related charges after what was found following a routine traffic’s stop.

The stop was made near the 112 mile-marker in LaGrand County on the Indiana Toll Road. Reports indicate just before 11:30 a.m. Friday morning, a Trooper with the Indiana State Police stopped an SUV that was driving 45 mph in a 70 mph zone.

The trooper smelled raw marijuana coming from the car after speaking to the driver, identified as 25-year-old Nahgeyanna James.

A search of the car was conducted. Authorities found about 30 grams of marijuana, a pill with Ecstasy, and 30 counterfeit $100 bills.

Three women, all from Illinois, were taken to the LaGrange County Jail and arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.

The front seat passenger, 24-year-old Chantay Green, was additionally charged with fraud and counterfeiting. 

The backseat passenger, 26-year-old Victoria Dowells, also had an active warrant out of Lake County.
