ANGOLA - The Metropolitan School District of Steuben County announced Friday, August 4 their school buses will be running 10 minutes earlier.
MSDSC is starting classes 15 minutes earlier this year, but their bus schedules will only be 10 minutes earlier than their previous years' schedules.
The announcement comes on month after the school announced via mass text a new schedule for the MSDSC students, which controversially is having students also start one hour later on Wednesdays.
The text message read:
On July 12, the State Board of Education finally approved the 1003 Waiver the MSD of Steuben County submitted to allow for our PD days to be days off for students and for the one-hour delay on Wednesdays.
Here are the adjusted building schedules to accommodate the one-hour delay on Wednesdays.
Angola High School M, T, Th, F 8:00-3:15 W 9:00-3:15
Angola Middle School M, T, Th, F 7:55-3:05 W 8:55-3:05
Carlin Park Elementary M, T, Th, F 7:55-2:45 W 8:55-2:45
Hendry Park Elementary M, T, Th, F 7:55-2:45 W 8:55-2:45
Ryan Park Elementary M, T, Th, F 7:55-2:45 W 8:55-2:45
Pleasant Lake Elem M, T, Th, F 7:30-2:20 W 8:30-2:20
The first day of school will start at the regular time.
The first one-hour delay will be the first full week of school on August 16.
