Kosciusko County Man Makes Emergency Landing In A Bean Field

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — On Tuesday, August 29 a prop plane lost power and had to make an emergency landing in a bean field near Warsaw.

Robert Haller, 69, of Kosciusko County was flying his 1947 Piper PA-12 prop plane from Anderson to Goshen when he lost power south of Warsaw.

Haller had to make an emergency landing in a bean field on the southeast corner of County Farm Road and C.R. 400 S.

Sgt. Doug Light with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department reported no injuries.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Branch of the Federal Aviation Administration.
