Trine Fest 2023 Recap

ANGOLA - The second annual Trine Fest took place on Thursday, August 31.

After being postponed from the previous Thursday for high heat and humidity, Trine Fest brought thousands of Trine University students and community members together in downtown Angola.

The event include a dunk tank, live music, booths of various local businesses and local political parties,

The first 800 Trine students in attendance received a free t-shirt.

Trine University's President Dr. John Shannon noted there were over 1000 Trine student in attendance and at least that in community members.

At the beginning of the festival Angola Mayor Richard Hickman presented Trine University's head softball coach Don Danklefsen a proclamation of Aug. 31, 2023, as Trine University Softball Day, in honor of the team’s national championship last May.

President Shannon explained they plan to make Trine Fest bigger and better every year with the help of the city of Angola and the community.
