ANGOLA – An Angola man was arrested on Friday, September 8 for alleged child molestation charges.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department detectives located and arrived Ronald Charles Albright, 62, of Angola just after 11 a.m. at his residence located in the 600 block of West C.R. 157 S. in southern Pleasant Township.

Albright was arrested on a warrant issued by the Steuben County Circuit Court regarding three counts of Level 4 felony child molesting/fondling.

The warrant follows an over 2-month investigation beginning in July 2023 when the Sheriff's Office was notified of the allegations by the Indiana Department of Child Services.

The preliminary investigation indicated that Albright allegedly fondled a 9-year-old victim on more than one occasion in June of 2023.

The incidents allegedly occurred at the CR 157 S address.

Albright was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Steuben County Jail.

Albright remains held without bond pending an initial court appearance.

The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
