(UNDATED) – An officer at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater was arrested twice on different charges.
On June 12, the Michigan Department of Corrections requested the assistance of the Michigan State Police from the Marshall Post regarding an investigation into a corrections officer.
The officer, identified at 43 year old Mark Everett Goodlock of Hillsdale, was contacted before the start of his shift. A subsequent search lead to the officer being arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance, and he was taken to the Branch County Jail.
Goodlock was able to post bond and was released. On June 21 he was arrested once again for an alleged violation of his bond conditions. He is being held in the Branch County Jail and is scheduled for an appearance July 15 in Branch County Circuit Court for a pre-trial conference.
The matter is still under investigation.
