(UNDATED) – Two individuals have been selected to run for a seat in the Michigan House of Representatives.
During Tuesday’s Primary election, Don Hicks was chosen to the Democratic candidate to run for the 35th District Seat in the Michigan House Of Representatives. He was the only Democratic candidate, and collected 919 votes in Branch County and 1,271 votes in Hillsdale County.
In the Republican Primary, Jennifer Wortz received the most votes, with 2,676 in Branch County and 3,931 in Hillsdale County. That’s a total of 6,606 votes.
Adam Stockford collected 1,132 votes in Branch County along with 2,793 in Hillsdale County for a total of 4,158. Tom Matthew had 1,238 votes in Branch County and 967 in Hillsdale County, which is a total of 2,205 votes.
Wortz and Hicks will square off in the November General Election.
