MSP Announce New Commander Of Fifth District

(PAW PAW) – The Michigan State Police has announced the promotion and new assignment for a long time officer.
First Lieutenant Jeremy Carlisle has been promoted to the rank of Captain, and has been named Commander of the Fifth District, which covers Southwest Michigan. He replaces Captain Michael Brown, who recently retired.
Carlisle will not be responsible for overseeing uniformed services for the four MSP Posts the cover St. Joseph, Branch and Cass Counties along with six other counties. This includes overseeing traffic patrols, criminal investigations and emergency services.
Prior to the promotion, Carlisle serves as First Lieutenant and Commander of the Niles Post. He has also served as Lieutenant at the Niles Post and the Recruiting and Selection Officer. He was also a Sergeant at the Paw Paw Post and a Detective on a cold case team during his 20 year career.
