Four SW Michigan Businesses Receive Match On Main Street Funding

(LANSING) – Four Southwest Michigan businesses are receiving State funds to do some improvements and updates.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer has announced that the Michigan Strategic Fund supports 63 small businesses through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Match On Main Program.

Layered Clothing LLC at 222 West Chicago Road in Sturgis, will be receiving $25,000.

Economy Garage LLC in Bronson does auto and truck repairs. They will be getting $24,552.25.

The Children’s Museum of Branch County, which is located in Coldwater, will be getting $25,000.

Flyover Art in Marcellus who works to offer community engagement, art exhibits and workshops. They are going to receive $8,500.

All total, the Match On Main Program is giving $1.49 million in grants this year. They are awarded to small local businesses to create resiliency and strengthen downtowns across the State.

Match On Main serves as a tool to support new or expanding place based businesses by providing up to $25,000 to allow them to launch or grow in core downtown areas and commercial districts.
