Coldwater softball team goes 2-1 at own Invitational
(COLDWATER) – The host Coldwater softball team went 2-1 at their own Invitational, beating Garden City 12-2 in five innings, losing to Tecumseh and then beating Bronson 7-3. Audrina Bucklin got the pitching win against Garden City. Coley Burkhardt had 2 hits with one being a 3 run homer. Laynie VanAken was the winning pitcher in the Bronson game, striking out 13 in going the distance. She also had long relief in the Tecumseh loss, where she struck out 17 batters. At the plate VanAken had 5 RBI on the day. Coldwater is now 16-3.
