(JAY COUNTY) - U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says multiple companies connected to a fatal Jay County crash have been taken out of service as part of a federal crackdown following the incident that killed four people.

In a post Friday on X, formerly Twitter, Duffy said the trucking school and motor carriers associated with semi-truck driver Bekzhan Beishekeev have been "held accountable."

According to the post, AJ Partners, Same Express, and Tutash Express have been ordered out of service, while Aydana's certification has been revoked. Federal officials have not released additional details about the specific violations that led to the actions.

The announcement comes after Beishekeev was arrested earlier this month on an immigration warrant in connection with the crash.

Duffy praised the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration for what he described as swift action and signaled that additional enforcement could follow.

"This crackdown is just getting started," he wrote. "We will not rest until every bad actor is held accountable."

The deadly crash remains under investigation.
