(ANGOLA) - The Angola Fire Department welcomed new personnel, recognized promotions and honored a retiring veteran during a ceremony Tuesday night attended by firefighters, family members and community supporters.

Four new firefighters -- Tim Freeze, Cas Hassett, Hunter Tinker and Jordon Greenamyer -- were formally sworn in and received their badges as they joined the department's ranks.

The ceremony also marked promotions within the department. Stewart Edwards and Bradley Noll were promoted to captain, Corey Glasper was elevated to battalion chief, and Erich Kaiser was promoted to division chief.

In addition, officials recognized the retirement of Capt. Ron Mausteller, who concluded a 21-year career serving the city of Angola and surrounding communities.

Department leaders thanked Mausteller for more than two decades of service and dedication to public safety.
