(HUNTINGTON COUNTY) -- The National Weather Service has now confirmed two tornadoes from Thursday night's severe storms in Huntington, Grant and Wabash county areas.

One tornado touched down near the Huntington-Grant county line within a broader swath of storm damage south of Banquo.

Meteorologists say that tornado caused heavy damage to a converted animal barn, a grain elevator and nearby trees before moving southeast.

A second tornado was later confirmed near La Fontaine.

That circulation damaged a home by tearing off part of the roof, tipped over a small outbuilding and scattered corn stubble across the property.

The tornado was on the ground for about a minute with peak winds estimated at 75 miles per hour.

The National Weather Service says the survey remains preliminary and could still be updated after final review.
