(ANGOLA) - A group of Angola High School seniors is graduating with college credentials already in hand--without paying pricey college tuition.

School officials say 13 students in the Class of 2026 have earned associate degrees, while 57 have completed the Indiana College Core through the school's Early College program.

Students in the program have also earned more than 1,300 dual credits, with total tuition savings topping $458,000 over the past two years.

The program allows students to complete college-level coursework while still meeting high school graduation requirements.

Angola High School received Early College High School endorsement April 6 from the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning at the University of Indianapolis, placing it among 74 schools statewide with the designation.

The program operates through partnerships with Ivy Tech Community College and Trine University.

School officials say the endorsement followed a multi-year review of program quality, student outcomes, and support systems.
