(ANGOLA) - After dropping a game Thursday, the host Trine softball team stormed back to win two games Friday over Muhlenberg College 12-1 in 5 innings and 3-1 in 10 innings in their Super Regional. On the day, Whitney Duell had 4 RBI while Debbie Hill had a homer and 2 RBI. The Thunder improve to 38-6 overall after the wins. They are now an impressive 5-0 in elimination games during the NCAA tournament. Trine now advances to the Finals of the NCAA championship for the fourth time in the last five years. This year the finals will be hosted in Salem, Virginia at the James I. Moyer Sports Complex. The opening games of the event will take place on Thursday, May 28.
