(NE INDIANA/SE MICHIGAN/NW OHIO) - A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through noon today for parts of the region, with light freezing rain creating slick conditions. The National Weather Service says freezing rain is expected mainly north of Highway 6, including far northern Indiana, northwest Ohio near the Michigan border, and portions of southern Lower Michigan. Ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch are possible. The ice could make roads slick during the morning commute until surface temperatures rise above freezing. Forecasters also say a few isolated power outages may occur due to ice buildup. Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution. Current road conditions can be checked by calling 511.
