At approximately 11:07 P.M. on Monday Night, 23 year old Marisol Dearmond of Garrett was traveling west on State Road 8 in the 7700 block when her vehicle, a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, traveled left of center and then went off the south side of the roadway.

Her vehicle then struck a Frontier telephone pole and rolled over onto its roof. The vehicle then came to rest upside down and facing north. Dearmond was then transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center for medical treatment as she complained of pain, and suffered some bruising and minor lacerations. Alcohol is believed to be a factor of the crash that remains under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were the Butler Police Department, DeKalb EMS, and Southeast Fire Department.
