The LaGrange County Council on Aging will get its parking lot paved after all.

County Commissioners this morning agreed to fund $45-thousand of the cost to go with $25-thousand the COA already had on hand. They also gave the plan department the go ahead to purchase a Dodge Durango from Shepherd’s in Auburn.

Commissioners approved two rezoning requests. One was for 43 acres within the Town of Wolcottville. The land has been farmed and never developed as housing, so it was rezoned to agriculture. A small parcel west of the stoplight in Shipshewana was also rezoned to agriculture so the owners could rebuild a horse barn that had burned.
